Desperado's Apache Tears (born August 21, 2005)
Apache was born on August 21, 2005.
Her dam is CH Pelagia vom Dreiburgenland (LCA #2783, Foreign #DLZB18387) and her sire is CH Amos Pride of Aslan (LCA#DZA2055).
She earned her her first 5 point major by taking Winners Bitch at the age of 11 months old during our
LCNW Regional Specialty (8/20/2006). She earned her 2nd 5 point major at the Northern California Leonberger Regional
Specialty on Oct 28, 2007 with titles for Winners Bitch and Best of Winners. Apache completed her bid for her championship
title at the LCNW Regional Specialy March 15-16, 2008 by taking Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite on Saturday
then Best in Show in Sunday. She was awarded Champion Bitch at the Northern California Leonberger Club
specialty on October 25, 2008.
The Leonbergers were placed
into Miscellaneous Class in the AKC starting July 1, 2008 and at Apache's first show, she was awarded Best of Opposite
(7/19/2008). Along with being beautiful, she is also a working girl. She is currently working on her Excellent
Rally titles with the LCA (and soon with the AKC) and her Novice Competitive Obedience (CD) title.
She currently has Rally Novice titles with both the LCA and the AKC and an Advanced Rally title with
the LCA and 2/3 of a RA title with the AKC. She earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate and passed her Therapy Dog
evaluation on 10/28/2007.
We drove to the LCA National Specialty
in Oconomowoc WI and had a great time. Apache took 2nd place in American Bred in the AKC show and 3rd place in Champion
girls in the LCA portion of the show and received and Excellent rating by Petra Junehall, a very prestegious European Leonberger
judge.
